Depends on whether you want to keep decent ride quality or if you want a killer stance

Any truth to the rear end sitting lower with the sport lines? I want a kickass stance, I wasn't planning on using the urethane insulators. The roads in RI are hit or miss. Some pics would help me decide if you all have any

Thanks

on what year car? I ran BBK Specific Rate springs on my '92 GT. If I remember correctly they were to lower the front 1.5" and rear 1.25". the stance was beautiful and I really don't think the ride suffered much at all. The only thing I really did notice is on dips, ya really can feel the body camber/flex without subframe connectors . . . It's a really "interesting" feeling. If ya now anyone who gets motion sickness really easy, don't let them ride in your car. Don't forget CC plates and new shocks/struts. I used KYB, they are much cheaper than KONI, and I thought they worked well.

these are some pics of my set up. Like i said, i have the sportlines and illumina's with the stock iso's. I dunno why, but it mine doesnt seem as low as some other stangs with the sportlines, but, ah, i dont care, it still looks clean, also, i recommend some cc plates, notice the camber i got going on in one of my pics.

throw some 18's on their with the sportlines or H&R's, and your stang will have a kickass stance

That does look good. Probably sit even lower without isolators in it too.

yeah . . . but ya don't wanna lose your isolators . . . that's almost as bad an idea as cutting the springs . . . they are there for a reason and serve their purpose . . . ya don't want metal grinding on metal.

Still, what year stang are we talking about? That's a pretty dramatic drop for the S197. The new Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilover Package would probably be the best way to go. It's a complete package with all you'd need but it also reaches pretty deep into the wallet at around $1500.00. Here is a pic from an article on 5.0M&SF.

here is the link to the complete article covering complete installation.

Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilover Package - 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine

Hope this helps.

i wouldnt go without iso's. I have never driven a mustang or been in one without them, but my buddies MR2 doesnt have them, and that chit squeaks and its the most annoying crap in the world. As far as the eibach coil overs.... get them if u can, Look up Epik's ride, he has some coilovers, i think MM ones, and he has that chit DROPPED...in a good way.

Or try and look for srthandz mustang, he has a perfect set up for the 94-98 mustangs...prolly the best on this site.

Little out of my price range. Do the sport lines make your car sit level or does the rear sit lower?

people say it sits lower, i dunno, maybe it does, but regardless, the best stance you can get, is sportlines . and i dont think it does sit lower, it seems actually leveled to me, but thats jus me. there has also been cases of some peoples springs saggin in the rear, but...i think thats an installer's problem.

could be an installers problem . . . could have not replaced the stock shocks . . . also fresh springs may take some time to 'compress' in the front from the weight of the motor, so initially, for the first few weeks, they may appear to sit level or lower in the back until they settle in the front and either lower or level out. Even so, with the sportlines, you'll want to replace your stock shocks with lowering shocks, KYB are great for the price, and caster camber plates . . . all in all you are still going to be floating around $1000 easily for the complete setup and won't have the full 2.5" drop you are looking for. I'd pay for the complete kit ($1300) and get what ya are truly lookin for . . . IMO
