Well, after buying some used '04 Mach 1 rims and putting them on my '99 GT, I noticed the grey on the inner section of the spokes took away from the look of the thin spoke...I though why wasn't it black?? Sooo, I painted it!! Whattya think - better, same or blah?!!

I think its really a toss up. I'm leaning more towards the black looks better than grey though.

The picture brightness of the after shot is unfortunately, horrible! But I'm convinced they look better with the black.....gotta get some Eibach spacers to push those rears out (next!!) Todd

AFS makes chrome ones with the area between spokes in glossy black.

I think it looks great. Can you expound on how you painted it? I saw the pic where you taped off the rest of the wheel, but what type of paint did you use. Did you clearcoat?

At first I used to think that the Mach 1 wheels were totaly ugly. But after seeing yours painted black I like them a lot more. Great idea and job.

Depends on the color of your car. Looks good on black cars. Lighter colored cars would look better grey
