I just purchased the 3 peice grill delete and installed it yesterday. The center "u" shaped section, that cradles in the bumper keeps popping up. Any suggestions on how to keep it from popping up? I've read using double sided tape works, but i'm just not a big fan of double sided tape. At $100, you would think it would fit nicely. The americanmuscle.com version looks like it has 2 big retaining clips that slide onto the bumper to hold it down...shoulda shopped around more.

The proper way to do it (the way Ford does it) is 4 screws and washers on the bottom going through the 4 holes in the GT bumper and into the bottom of the grill delete. If you take the bottom u-shaped peice of, you will see what I mean. The directions I got stated to cut the 4 screws that held the stock GT grill in down and reuse those with 4 plastic washers.

However my grill delete came with doublesided tape on it and that's what I used. 4 years later it's still held down nice and flush

I use the double sided tape as well (may have used screws too but I can't remember). Almost a year later and its still holding on good. Just use the tape and you'll never have to worry about it.

yeah some kits come with the screws, but i prefer to not put holes through my bumper. i used the tape a few years ago and its still holding. you can always replace the tape if it doesn't stick.

The holes are already there. They are the 4 holes used to hold the stock GT grill. On the Mach 1, it reuses these holes. All you need are plastic washers and it's pretty much OEM
