I have all the parts for my Magnapacks/Catted X pipe and while looking at the directions I noticed that it says to cut the factory catback. Is that to remove the mufflers? It looks like they would come out without cutting it, but thats what it says. I'd rather not have to cut anything in case i run into problems and have to put it back on.

Any advice you guys can give?
What size nuts does it use?
Whats the best way to remove the factory set up?

It seems pretty straight forward but the more info the better.

Cutting it is the easiest way. Supposedly you can get it off by dropping the axles all the way down. Mine was cut.

I've done 3 catbacks on 01- 03 mustangs, CUT IT, it's the only way I've found to do it. You might want to borrow a sawzall though, it's a pain in the a$$ doing it with a hack saw. your arms will be jelly by the time you cut both sides. you can also use a torch just don't cut any thing else important under the car ; brake lines, gas tank ect.
