My father and I purchased a Panoz GTRA last fall. We've run HPDEs in it this year and both used the car and had a blast. The car is very robust, but with only 240 crank horse it's on the slow side.

Over the winter we're re-doing the top end of the motor and swapping to a carb'd setup shooting for around 400 crank horse. Also re-doing the suspesnion (fresh shocks, higher rate springs, bigger rear bar, bigger rear trailing arms) and re-doing some gages in the interior.

AFR 165s from Ed were waiting for me on Sunday after getting back from a weekend at VIR.

Composite valve covers came in today. Also snapped a pic of the cam, rockers, and misc other parts.

Ed... if you see this post.

1. Do the breathers need any K&N type oil?
2. What kind of springs are in the heads? Are they standard AFR bits or something you spec'd out?

Cya,
Brian

The day the car was delivered from Florida to my Father's house. I drove down from Va Beach w/ my trailer to pick it up.

Sweet what kind of motor is it a 4.6 good looking car. Kind of looks like a RX-7 in a way.

It's a 5.slow out of an Australian Ford Falcon sedan, hence the reversed intake manifold.

God, that thing is pure sex.

Just out of curiosity, how much does it weigh? Can you drive it on the street?

Haven't weighed ours, but others are reporting that they're about 2700lbs. I'm going to weight it so I can see how much weight we drop by ditching the iron heads and all the fuel injection stuff and power steering. Can't legally drive it on the street. I've taken it around the block a few times though. I'd love to be able to drive it to the local car cruises.

Ahh, are the headlights fake? At a glance, they had me fooled, but now they look like stickers to me.
