How can I remove the map pockets from my doors, but save them so I can put them on again. I'm going to repaint them and want to keep them in nice shape.

Thanks,
-FMM

Just did it to Hack Job...I bought new ones on Ebay.

Remove the door panels. Then flip them over and you see these metal tabs bent over flat. Bend them upright, then simply pull the map pocket out. When you put it back in, just bend those tabs back down. Simple as that!

Well, you might be able to get away with taking just the arm rests off, but you still have to pop all the retainers out, so after that the panel is hanging there, so you might as well take it off and lay it on a workbench or table of some sort rather than laying on the ground. I had it done before my girlfriend had dinner ready. Perfect timing. hehe
