currently i have a Cool Blue Performance triple hook quadrant and a CBP fwa. im using these with a Hays adjustable cable.....well the cable sucks balls. ever since it was installed it hasnt felt right. depressing it is fine with on the release the clutch pedal feels "sticky" or jerky. it doesnt release smooth at all. doesnt make for a smooth take off. its almost like the lining isnt smooth enough on the inside or maybe the cable has a burr?

the cable must be replaced and i have it narrowed down to these two:

MM cable : http://www.maximummotorsports.com/i...age=product_info&cPath=50_160&products_id=897

and

Ford Racing cable: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_747130_-1_11225

by the time these are shipped, there isnt but $16 in the two, MM cable being more expensive.

in the write up on the MM cable on their site they mentioned about modifying the cable....i dont really want to get into all that. if i have a triple hook quad and a fwa, shouldnt that make for a good fit?

the MM cable i hear is longer than a stocker.....i guess im asking can i make that cable work with my setup and be happy?

i have heard nothing but good things about MM.

thanks guys

I've got that cable...If I remeber right it was longer that the original I pulled out, but it is a universal Ford cable...
Anyway, I have the MM quadrant and FWA, and it fits fine, the extra length is not even noticeable, it just makes a larger radius coming thru the engine compartment...
made my clutch feel like a hydraulic...
Good luck

yea, its long, like they say, but it doesnt interfere with anything. it just makes a wider arch than the factory one

i, too, am running the MM universal cable. yes, it's longer--it freaked me out at first, but according to one of the guy's i spoke to at MM, it's intended for header clearance (you know, you the stocker bolts to the body--well the extra length means it doesn't have to be bolted).

no complaints at all--definately a smoother, softer clutch pedal feel.

i understand now. makes sense since it doesnt have the factory style bracket.

had to zip tie the Hays cable away from the headers

i think im going to order the MM one
