MD, DC, VA, WV Mustangers and car enthusiast.

The time for a good East Coast Cruise is here. Meet in Frederick then cruise up towards Hagerstown then to Thurmont (Through the Catoctin State Park) Then on to Taneytown for lunch. (Around 1 hr 45 min cruise time, route may change upon input) I know there are a bunch of us in the area and we need to represent. . If my pool is completed by the time this cruise comes around then everyone to my house for a pool party. If you have anything you would like to input to make this cruise a success, I am all ears. Can’t wait to see everyone out there.

That does sound like a good time, but I too will be partaking in the fight against the fartcans @ 75-80. Maybe you could reschedule the cruise and join us? I am sure there will be plenty of Uncle Bens finest for us all!

I have now found out that there is a Domestic & Import Shootout at 75-80 that starts at 10 AM. What we can do is meet at 75-80 Raceway at 2pm (gives everyone wanting to race from 10-2pm) If you don’t want to race just be there at 2pm. We will cruise from the Drag Strip up to Catoctin State Park then through Thurmont and off to Taneytown. The loop should take about 45-1hr to drive then we hit Tony’s in Taneytown for some adult beverages if you are interested in coming let me know at caship@aol.com

Well the GTG with Roush and Mustang people was a flop.... I was disappointed with the lack of people that showed.

However, a friend of mine with a Saleen and another friend with a GT went down to 75/80 to see what was up at the track. Well the track was a ghost town so we were headed to get some lunch and bumped into the PA Chapter of the Corvettes. They were on the flip side of their cruise so we joined them. We headed up to Gettysburg by way of Hagerstown. it was a little more cruise then I wanted to do but these guys were great. They were meeting up with more vette guys in Hagerstown so we hopped in line and went with them. These guys were already 20 cars deep in every size and shape of vette you could think of. We get to Hagerstown and there are 30+ more, as well as a couple of Shelby Cobra guys. We get in line and head to Gettysburg.... man was it a nice day to cruise.... 77 and sunny with scattered clouds. When we hit Gettysburg we cruised thru the battleground and headed for the outlets. By now it was close to 4 so I had to get home to take my daughter to the carnival so I bid my corvette host good buy. My friends stayed and said the hung out with them till 6ish and rolled out.

It was a great day... sorry that the Mustang crowd was so lame in this area but what can you do.... maybe I will buy a vet...
