Mean with little to no drone,
LT headers with Cherrybomb header packs (3in to 2.5 /or 2.25 outlet), Hardly any drone and keeps the dBs in-between 70-80 dBs

If money was no object,

and you want mean......... go turbo

I'll say what not to do.
o/r mid pipe and slp loudmouth.
Boy did that sound like ass!

High flow catted mid pipe with the slp i liked alot.
much more then the o/r mid pipe and flowmaster American thunder cat back.

Well, this weekend i was at my father n laws and spotted his old 2.5" bullet mufflers with turn downs. He tells me to tame them and try them out.

So today the 3 chamber Flowmasters and tailpipes came off, and the straight through bullets went on. Glad to say this thing isn't a DD, but it sounds awesome at WOT! I will say that for the first time, I was a little worried about being too loud, lol.

OP, you said you have a stock motor.
The meanest exhaust I ever heard on a stock motor was Mac 1-5/8" shorty headers, Mac power chamber, Mac 2-1/2" cat back with stainless LX tail pipes. Too loud for me at the time, and it suffered from drone. It was mean tho.
I ran 1-5/8" Hooker ceramic long tubes, matching H pipe and Flowmaster "delta flow" cat back with stainless LX tail pipes. I much preferred the sound, deeper, no drone, more mellow until upper 3000-4000rpm then it gave the Mac setup a run for it's money... ah who am I kidding, it still fell short on the nasty, but had a more authoritative note. Like I said, I preferred that, but the Mac setup was hands down the nastiest, meanest most angry setup I ever heard.
Again, on stock motors.

one more point... from what I have seen/experienced...
On a stock motor, long tubes will make the car sound a bit more mellow at regular cruising rpms than shorty headers. Shorties are the mean and nasty choice and do not give much up to long tubes in peak power department. Long tubes also have a unique sound, but it is not as much a shriek as shorties, more a roar-then-wail. Long tubes will make more average power and a tiny bit more peak power... again, on a stock motor we talking around single digit hp/tq... more none the less, but not going to make the difference in all but the most competitive of situations.

If this thread is going to stay active, can one of you mod types fix the spelling in the title, please? Might as well drag nails on a chalk board.

I like a loud good sounding exhaust too and I'm happy with my stock 5.0 engine breathing through BBK 1 5/8" long tube headers, o/r h-pipe, to dual Flowmaster American Thunder muffler and LX stainless tips. Has a good exhaust note at idle and is plenty loud when you step on the skinny. No drone too.

I have this same setup and I love it.
