Yeah, I know. I'll probably be able to get a couple bucks for them though. I'm leaving them on for the time being. I think it may be this hot weather we're having lately cancelling out the gains .

I had an interesting experience today thanks to power. Rear end broke out like a mofo hitting second. It actually scared me to the point of almost getting out of the gas. It was on dry asphalt too. I was all over the f'n road with smoke boiling off the rears. It was crazy. Never broke loose like that before.

But normally there's no way it would lose it that bad. Under normal driving, the pullies just don't feel like they added anything, not necessarily took anything way.

This has been the topic of volumes of debates. Yes, all things being equal, round tubing offers more torsional resistance than square. But if you have any, I mean absolutely any concerns about ground clearance stay away from them.

My personal favorites are the Maximum Motorsports full length weld in SFC's with the cross brace. If you're really serious about it, get the Griggs in floor SFC's. They are better for Fox cars, but require a lot of work. You have to cut a long skinny hole in the floor and weld them half in and half out of the car. SN-95's are stiffer so the MM full-lengths are plenty. They're plenty for the Foxes too unless you've got just insane amounts of torque.

Anytime, anywhere. I will crush you...

You and the posse coming to hooters? For some reason I think you said you were going to be doing robot stuff.

Nah, its all done...I don't know how much of a posse I'll have with me if any. If I come, I'll proably bring the Blue Beater.

Anyway, I need to somehow convert to manual so I can learn on something I won't be "too" worried about damaging...before I move up to another car or more horsepower.

Think the swap should be easy?

Just a custom header off the right exhaust bank...a simple log type header.
EDIT:
Or use both banks to help spool the turbo as quickly as possible and get rid of some other items of interest.

Wouldn't be hard.

MM&FF did a Junkyard Twin Turbo project, cost them less than $2500 to make. I don't remember if that included the car or not...I need to dig it up as I may try and do the same when I get this 302 I have going and such.

Proably can get a nice kick from the amount of boost...but you'll get greedy and want to add either a bigger single turbo or two T3 turbos...which are the same ones that SVOs have.

I've heard mixed reviews. Some guys have had an easy time and some got fed up, burned the car mid project, and then pushed it off a cliff. Are you going to do it at the same time you do the V8 conversion?

i would have no problem forking over 2500 bucks for a TT kit as long as it gave me some substantial gains. i dont wanna spend all that money and end up getting 6 lbs. of boost...and 100 hp. i went to the junkyard the other day and noticed that every single turbo car had already had its turbo removed...sucks

not the plan, but if I come across a V8 T5...maybe.

Cause I wanna make sure that the "mental" practice I've been doing is up to par, then I wanna go and destroy a tranny with 150+ HP

You ought to paint it flat black, get a big@ss weiand blower to stick through the hood with a hexagon scoop, and dress all in leather. Then get a mangy looking dog and wander a post apocalyptic wasteland searching for "juice." That'd be cool!

2 questions: Where's the junkyard and are you sure the yard didn't remove them and have them in a seperate area?

Which yard...

Yeah, I went to one around here...the heads on all the 4 cylinder cars were removed along with the turbo on the turbo models. My uncle has some turbos(small, look like Dodge turbos), but they may need some work...since they proably came out of cars that weren't taken care of.
