Well, in keeping with our theme, I have a story to tell (white you can just pass over this post, you know the story already). This is the story of Crazy Psycho Girl, or CPG from now on. I was driving by Old Downtown Melbourne where they were having the street party. I'm moving to pass a red VW bug, driven by CPG. When the front of my car has reached the door on the bug, CPG suddenly decides that the lane she is in is no longer good enough for her, and decides to try my lane instead. Well, CPG decides not to look if anyone is beside her, and just begins changing lanes, which causes me to swerve into the middle (suicide) turning lane, and nearly into the lane of oncomming people, blowing my horn at CPG all the while. My car finally comes to a stop, I look around and make my way back into traffic, catching up with CPG at a stop light. I glare out her in a furious manner, and to describe the complete look to you would violate this websites language filter. I drive off, and several minutes later go flying into the DAP parkinglot to relate my story to Dan.

Man! Why do all the " almost car wrecks " and regular car wrecks always happen to people who have newer, nicer cars. I'd almost pay someone to wreck my car so I can finally get my stang.
I don't think I can successfully accidentally wreck my stupid car.

Thanks.

Okay, y'all, suspension question. I'm looking at springs for my 4x4...I mean, Mustang. Adam has the Ford racing springs at 1.5 inches, he says they're pretty good. Anyone have any opinions on them? I figure since there's only 1 more race left in the season, and hopefully I'll have my SVO by the start of the next season, there's really no reason for me to hold back on getting springs anymore.

EDIT
Also, where would be a good place to buy them? Partshopper has them for $169, any other ideas?

Do you perhaps mean geFracing.com? Thanks, though. What are they, an inch drop? I recall that being what the Bullitt was dropped.

EDIT:
Nevermind about the drop, I'm a moron. I like the shocks and springs set up. I might get it.

I'd get the entire Bullit setup Erich, springs and dampers. If you just throw the springs in there with the stock dampers, you'll be dissappointed with the ride. If I recall, the Bullitt setup is $399 at Gene Evans and is quite reasonable. Considering that you'll have everything apart to swap springs, you might as well do it as the same time.

What are dampers? Another word for shocks, or something else? I think the setup on gefracing is $340, I need to check again.

Yes, shocks and struts are dampers, but shocks aren't the same as struts or vice versa. So in an effort to conserve typing, I condensed "shocks/struts" into "dampers." Remind me not to do that again.

Don't do that again. So what if I just get the shocks? Will it still be as effective or do I really need the struts?

And what is their website? I just looked it up on google and all I came up was the GEF racing site, and their set is only shocks and springs.

Shocks are dampers for the rear. Struts are dampers for the front. Get them at the same time.

The shock is just a dampener. It controls the spring oscillation in the rear. If you were to pull it out and drive around, the rear would be really bouncy but that's it. The wheels would still move around in there normal path.

That yellow thing with the "Bilstein" sticker on it is the strut. It's found in the front of the mustang chassis. The thing that makes it different from a shock is that it positively locates the hub/spindle (the wheel). Without the strut, the wheel would just flop around wherever, destroying the car in the process.
