I definately fell out of the chair for that one. Speaking of which, there's another challenge for you, go through OCS...

Actually, a true challenge would be to apply to be an Aerospace Science instructor at FAA and then try to last more than 1 year. We've had 10 AS people appointed to us from AFROTC in the past 4 years. Every year they all (for the most part) quit. Some didn't even last a whole year. Found out that one got fired today, with 60 days left in the school year. Just goes to show that because you own a Porsche, you don't always (or ever) know what you're doing.

I thought about it, but I don't think so. I'm gonna finish my BS here, and at least get started on my Masters. After that, I'm going into the private sector. I've already got contacts here in Melb and over in Tampa so getting into a gov't contactor pos'n shouldn't be too hard. If I get the Master's, it'll guarantee me a job more or less, especially considering other things I've been able to aquire from this job that shall remain nameless.

Wow. Is that basically an astronomy or an astrophysics course? I could teach astronomy, astrophysics I'm a little rusty...

Haha, that's funny. The main challenge is to keep kids from falling asleep. Let's see, you perform inspections of your classes out on tennis courts, I'm not sure if they still do that every day, though. Then you ramble aimlessly on about interesting (or at least you think they're interesting) things you did in the AF. Show the latest edition of "Air Force News" video. Occasionally teach about how jet engines work as compared to rocket engines, and usually you're in charge of one special team (color guard, honor guard, rifle team, drill team, etc). That's about it. Sometimes they taught us some other random things, but that's about it.

Guarenteed you could do a much better job, because you could explain the two engines, and then car engines!

LMAO!!! That is funny! I guess it'd be a good retired job for someone who was totally gung ho about their time in the AF.

Good call on the moving thing. Yeah, they're all retired guys. One guy was interesting, though, a test pilot. Of course, it's obvious after he left the Air Force the only thing he was "testing" was the temperature of the food in an "all you can eat" buffett line.

Oh, finally got my XM Radio in. This will be my only audio upgrade, as I figure 460 watts is plenty for me. It's really good, even though I haven't had much time to enjoy it, yet. Not as loud as the radio, though. Have to crank it up higher than normal. It's mounted inside (no prob AutoXing). Display is a little small, but all in all, I think it's pretty cool.

Did you ask him if they really made cockpits that big or if they had to double the charge on his ejector seats? Maybe a JATO rocket for his cessna?

Hehe, the prolly would have to now.
Then the woman that got fired today was also a test pilot. She had platnum blonde hair with a charcoal black streak running through where she parted it, yet oddly we're not allowed to do that.

Cool! How are you liking it?

And what's mounted inside that would be a problem for auto-xing otherwise?

I'm wanting to get rid of my antenna (hidden mounting and order a cobra R delete plate for the fender hole. That will finish off my system if you can call it that. Once the wife gets her car, I may just scrap the entire set-up and put in the delete plate for that R look.

I guess I didn't clarify. Normally, the antenna is mounted on the trunk or on the roof (which looks stupid, BTW). Might have caused a problem with AutoXing. But I had them mount it at the base of the rear window, inside. Pretty cool, and no probs with it at all.

Very cool system. Still trying to figure it all out, but I'll get is soon. Really cool, it displays the singer and the name of the song, definate plus.

Reminds me of that story you were telling me about the ties out in the parking lot.

When I first dyed my hair, no one said anything but all my supervisors (including the Colonel) were surepticiously stealing looks. I almost felt like saying just stare for a few minutes and get it out of your system. Then at least I can go back to work, but I figured just them not saying anything was good enough for me.

I figured that's what you were talking about, hence my comment about my antenna.

And that really is cool about the song info. My cd player displays the cd info if it's burned into the cd. You can program it manually, but I'm not wasting that much time every time I disconnect my battery.

Glad to see you matured since the incident with the Major.

Oh...oh, story about the platnum blonde.
Okay, whenver it even looks like it's gonna rain, they tell us to put on ponchos. Real stupid. Anyway, one day, Major May (blonde) get's over the PA system and yells "All cadets, if you're smart at all you'll put on a rain poncho. If I catch you out without one you'll be written up! blabh..." Anywho, me and my friends are walking with umbrellas, no rain poncho. She comes running over to us, not wearing a poncho and with a retracted umbrella, shaking it at us, saying "you're not allowed to use an umbrella, it is unacceptable. go to the bx and buy a rain poncho. you can't use an umbrella." God I love that school.

Oh, I don't know which forums they might have posted this in, but y'all need to sign up for AMAR- American Muscle Against Rice.

The link is posted in the SVT Forum, thread is called AMAR. Somewhere in there, I think the 4th page, is a link to the site and an e-mail address to send the guy your stuff so he can sign you up. Pretty cool so far. I think it's gonna gain a lot of momentum. Started by guys here on stangnet, too.
