I has the spray paint skillz son

Go to the local hardware store and look for "RUST-OLEUM Professional High Performance Enamel". As far as spray paint goes, this stuff is about the hardest and most durable that you're going to find. I did 2 coats on each wheel and didn't even use one whole can (15oz can).

I have a really different technique for spray painting. Most people go by the 10-16 inches away from the surface rule and light coats, but not me. If i'm painting something flat like this that isn't going to run, i lay on 2 really really thin coats just to get the surface tacky, and then i lay on a super thick coat to where the paint almost pools up....do the overlapping strokes thing and just lay it on nice and thick. This will give you that powder coated look. The problem is that you can't do the whole wheel that way and it's really tricky to not get over spray on those thick areas...and when you do overspray it ruins the look. In between the spokes you can see some of that, and there's some fish eyes and bubbles so they're far from perfect but they'll do until my Enkeis are finish.

Sick. IMO the rears just need to stick out a little more. I saw one locally at a carshow last week.

Yeah, that's kind of a problem with these cars. They use a FWD offset and when you try to bring the rears out you get a lot of rubbing issues and "pinch" at the rear wheels and fenders since they're IRS cars. The Enkei rims i have bring out the back about as much as possible but they're still considerably more sunk in than the front....it's just how these cars are.

Yeah and it looked better IMO. Now it looks like every other POS rice pot running around (yes, I know it's not rice, but your average person won't see it any other way i'm afraid). As far as I'm concerned, the Chrome is what set the black paint off. Now it just looks dull....and will even more so any time the car isn't perfectly clean.

Just my opinion though.

I think you missed something, they never were chrome. They were faded out crappy grey though. Either way they're only temporary anyways so maybe the Enkeis will gain your approval

Wheel in the first pick certainly looks chrome to me....or at the very least polished?

Either way, I still think they look nicer than the black.
