How do you hook up MIL Eliminators? Would I have to take the car to the exhuast shop, or can I do it myself? Basically asking if any cutting or welding of the exhaust is involved.

Reason I want them is b/c my check engine light is on all the time, and the previous owner said it's b/c the Cats have been removed.

If you do the splice in kind, then you hook them up yourself. If you get the plug-in kind i.e. from Steeda, you have to cut the tabs off, then just plug them in.

I'd get the splice kind.. they're cheaper, and you can heat-shrink them.

Btw: You could've found the answer if you would've searched the forums first.

I got the plug-in style because I bought them used.

Might want to verify there are no cats. He could have been putting you on.

They are extremely easy to install. Just get yourself a soldering gun, solder, flux, brush, some shrinktubing and your set. Remember it's the rear O2's your are fixing, not the upstream near your motor. Unhook your negative battery cable (black) before you do anything and then pull the O2's and splice the MIL's in, heat shrink them and then put the O2's back in the car. hook up negative battery cable and done.
