i know that mil elims are just an expensive resistor, has anyone else thought of just testing the resistance with cats and without.....buying a 50cent pack of resistors is better than a 60 set of glamorized resistors.....thanks.

yep....if u do a search there are many write ups on how to make ur own mils....I chose to just buy the pony express ones for 30$ that was worth it to me....

I got mine on eBay for $15 shipped. They have worked perfectly for a couple of months now. The procedure to splice them in is simple. Some people on here have recommended the plug in type because they say it is easier to return to a stock mid pipe. If I have to return to a stock pipe, I can just leave the splice in mils in place. No need to ever remove them.

I just bought the resistors from Radio Shack yesterday. $4.17
I am going to install them in my O2 sensor extensions so I have no cutting of the stock harness or O2's.

Has anyone heard about the plug and play mils being no good,cause i bought those and have yet to install my x-pipe. I thought they would be better then splicing into my wires. After i bought them though i heard they corrode pretty fast. hope i heard wrong???

that 'mil eliminators' perform?
These things are spliced into the wiring of the 2nd
(more downstream) o2 sensors?
The (two of them) second o2 sensors are checking the
function of the catalytic converter in front of it?

Oh and BTW, they're still running strong. I did get a SES light about a month back, but that's because I got some water on one of them. I just dried it out, sealed it back up and it's been working 100% since..

I thought about that, considering you could make 2 for under $2-$4. Probably 1 for under $2. Charge half price of what everyone else charges and make a good $25 off of one pair after everything. Just make sure you can solder decently.

They eliminate the Malfunction Indicator Light(Check Engine) that comes on when the catalytic converters are taken off. I think the front O2 sensors are causing mine to come on now that i have long tube headers.
