im in the process of putting in a supercharger in my car. i have no power steering, no air conditioning, and no smog. but because the charger is on the passenger side i have to have a smog pump and the a/c compressor. what i want to do is put the a/c on the driver side because it will look alot cleaner. i know there are 302 with the alternator on the passenger side so if i get a standard rotation water pump and a bracket this can be done. does anyone know the best way for me to put the alternator on the driver side?

my alternator is relocated on the driver side. i will try to get some good pics for you.
wasnt too bad, but had to get an adjustable brace made to go from a w/p stud to the alternator.
only pullys on my car-crank,w/p,alternator,p/s
ill try to get pics soon.

thanks to both of you. so i noticed the pic of the setup pimp posted uses the stock reverse rotation water pump, but to me it doesn't look like the belt hits the water pump enough to make it work correctly. correct me if im wrong

Wow. Not to hijack this but I was about to post the exact same thread. I have a March bracket.....can this be modified to work on the driver's side? I have a beautiful polished alternator. and no a/c or p/s. So if I have to mount it down low I'm gonna sell it - what a waste! Is there any option other than the Breeze set-up?

There's enough contact on the water pump pulley if your running an electric fan.. if your staying with the mechanical fan i'd say you be better off not going this route.. but i've used it in the past on cars with efans and never had a problem.
