Going to need a little more info than that. If you are running carbed, then yes, it will replace it. If EFI then no it wont. I see its an 89 but with a 351 so what exactly do you have?
I am running a 351 in my 82, ignition is an MSD 6a and an MSD distributer, I ran the factory distributer for a while with the box. You can ditch the duraspark ignition completely. What is the distibuter out of?
It's the one that came with the engine, it's from an 89 LTD police pack (or P71). Thanks for the reply. I think I will get that 6A box and eventually get a new distributer + coil.
I fI remember right the wiring was fairly straight forward to wire the 6A to the stock distributer, grab a 5.0L coil for now, It is plenty powerful enough for most street engines. Good Luck!!!
