I have a 6AL and I'm pretty sure about most of the wires as far as where they go. My question is, what are the wires that trigger the MSD? Colors? Thanks a bunch!

BTW, I went on their site and they have general instructions, but nothing that pertains to the mustang wiring specifically.

MSD make a specific wiring kit for our cars, that plugs right in to the box and into the coil, all you have to to do is hook up the power and Ground and switched 12 volts

I checked their site and all it says is "MSD to Ford TFI harness" I have a strong feeling this will only work with 93 and older Mustangs. I checked Summit also and didn't find any such harness.

I don't need this harness do I? I just want to know what color wires and where they are to splice into.

Ok, I found the harness on Summits website. So essentially what I do is run the existing coil wires into the MSD box, then the run wires from the box back to the coil. this is cake! no need to spend 25.00 on a harness, I can make splices look awsome!

why splice? you spend $400 on a piece of good equipment and you dont want to spend $15 to $20 on doing it the right way.... it is just good insurance. never worry on a wire shorting out......

400$!! That's how much these MSD's are? I'm glad my brother is such a generous guy. He works at a salvage and just gave it to me. It's in perfect shape and he said it works.

I just went to the salvage yard today and cut off a coil plug from a EFI Ford. Now I'll just wire the plug to the MSD and plug it into my coil. Then, I'll attach space connectors to the other two wires from the MSD and plug them into my existing coil plug. No splicing and all the stock stuff is retained. No need to spend the 15.00.
