Hi:
Fist...sorry about my englishI'm from Mexico and my english is not very strong.
2nd... i love this forum, a lot of great helpull topics =D

Well im writing here because my heatcore is leaking inside the cabin, so i get a new heatcore unit from Ford dealer, with evaporator includes.
So does anybody know how to change it?
I have been reading a lot of stuff and it's looks that i need to take off all my central console, so.... is really necesary to do that?
I have a lot of cables and connections inside.
Turbocharger and nitrous control inside the panel and i dont want to do a something wrong.
Any advice?

Are you sure its the heater core and not just a rain leak, have you added
water to the radiator?

Yeah, is coolant inside of my cabin, i read a bulletin from ford saying " if an engine ground is missing on engine bay an estatic charge could appear on coolant and leaks can appear.
so... im stuck with a new heatcore module and the big challeng of remplace it...
any help?

Wow, a heater core is a MAJOR job. This isn't something most people should even consider doing yourself. You might want to consult a dealer service dept.

I would try a product such as Bars Leaks before I tore into that job. Take the easy shot first!

Please dont ever put any kind of stop leak in any car you want to keep.
I would bypass the haeter core if anything besides having it fixed by
an expert.

I understand what you say, but I have used Bars Leaks with no problems. I have even read GM puts it in every Cadillac from the factory just to make sure there is no seepage anywhere in the cooling system.

Well now I know not to buy a Cadillac....
