I had a chance to talk to the guy on sunday at the northwest roundup, he was a really cool guy, i gave him a few photo's and he took some pics of mt car, he was working in SVT trailer.

A very well written article. He brings to points that I am sure all of us II owners have in our head.. maybe now the dark age people will begin to realize what the II was. It is nice to see the horsepower comparison between the years. You say 73 Mach, people think 325 horses, but it was only putting out a number that can be compared to the II. Personally, owning a car that everyone knows little about and what they know is usually untrue is a great experience. Yeah, I could be owning a V6 camaro or something of the sort... but.. why ? I come from a generation of wings and body kits.. but still, when people see my car they always give a pleasant comment and ask what it is. Prime example: My brother ( has owned a few foxers and now owns a 64 ) was the one who took me down to see the 74 before I bought it. The PO stumbled and said "200" instead of "2,000". And my brother wanted to buy it badly. He knew nothing about the II. Now that I own it and he has been talking with fellow Mustang owners, he likes to bust on it ? People hear someone mention a II and they don't run over to compliment, they go over to be a caveman and repeat all they have heard instead of asking a few questions. If people would learn to just ask questions instead of judging or repeating the things they heard, the II wouldn't have a bad rap. But then maybe we would be in the same class as the Classic 64-73, and do we really want that? The II is a breed of its own, not only by society, but also by design. And that's all I have to say about that.
