Im looking at a 2004 Mustang with a 5spd, V8, Hardtop with 40K. Is that too much?

Sorry i forgot the price, the ford dealership is selling it for 19,000

Well, yes. For reference my 02Gt with 31000 retails for under 14K. 19 grand is way too much. goto www.kbb.com and see what a dealer price should be. Tell the meatheads what the price is, then offer then 2 grand less.

That is way too much. Offer them 12k. When they laugh at you walk. When they call you back in a few days you will be in a much better negotiating position. Do not go higher than 13k.

I bought my 04 GT with 18k miles, for $15,800. So yes, too much.

That, or for not too much more you could probably find an 03 terminator cobra.

For the same price, you can pick up a Mach. And for a few grand more, you can get an 03 Cobra.

Yeah, I've seen afew '03-'04 Cobra's for about $23K with 20,000 miles on them (private sellers). The car lots want way more.

they do not even sell for 19000cdn up here in canada

I agree with everyone else. Got my 03 GT for $14K same mileage as that one. For that price you can get a Mach which is what I would have preferred.
