I entered my mustang in a contest on a whim at a local radio station. I've never won anything of any real value let alone been selected for the running.
But low and behold I was selected to the "Not So Sweet Sixteen" of said contest.
Here's the deal, the station was looking for the most pathetic piece of machinery out there to do 10 grand worth of work to. Mine made it to the public voting pool!
Now I'm not so sure that's an honor but I'll take anything to get my car on the road again!
I've been dragging it with me for fifteen years(since I was seventeen) and doing what I could to put it back together. I was about to just start piecing it out due to financial restraints(and the constant badgering from my longsuffering wife ) But then this came along.
I would like to humbly ask for support from anyone willing to cast a vote in my favor. I really want to keep this car, it's been with me longer than any other possesion!
You can view the the contest at www.purerock965.com My car is listed as a 71 MACH 1 (it's blue and argent, and really a 73)
I appreciate the support and thanks for taking time to read this!
I'll keep you posted with results and the like if anyone is interested!

Yeah, sorry about that. Rock stations nowadays peddle anything to get listeners/webviewers. I can't pull any of the local rock stations up at work due to the filters!
Please dont judge me by that though, I'm just trying to get the car finished and enjoy it a bit before midlife sets in(or the wife gets fed up of tripping over car parts in the garage! )

Voting ends thursday at 5:00pm. I'm trailing the suburban by 67+ votes.
I'll let ya know how it turns out.
Thank you to all who participated and took the time to cast a vote!
I'll either get the stang back together or make a bit of money parting it on ebay!
One way or the other it wont have to rot away in the garage.

Dang I hate that I missed out on that contest, I went to high school with Sister Karen on that station. I could've had my bro drop off pics of my Ttop to get it hooked up.
