Hey guys. I'm new to the forums. Well anyways, does anyone know the stock times of the new V6 mustang for the 0-60 and 1/4 mile. I know the v8 does them 5.3 and 13.9@106 but i can't find what the regular one does. I tried googling it.

It's a major pain to be the owner of the lower-end models of vehicles, because they tend to not show all their performance specs.

YES it does. I might get a v6 but i don't know its specs. I want to be close to an SRT-4 in track times.

You're basically talking about getting your stang into the 13's with that SRT4 in mind. Check out supersixmotorsports.com to see what their packages can do, they have some cars on their page that say what they ran and what they've got under the hood. 13's are pretty much only obtainable by digging into the motor.

So does anyone have the specs. I figured it would be in the upper sixes
(0-60) and in the mid-14's (stock)

There was a thread I saw the other day in which a guy reported that his dad took his auto V6 to the track and ran a couple of 15.2's.
So, a brand new car with an auto...No idea how skilled a driver the man is, but it seems likely that a good driver with a manual could get into the 14's.

There is a reason for that. Lower end owners are in general not interested in quarter mile times.
Don't have times but an educated guess based on hp/weight would give somwhere in the hood of 7 seconds to 60 and mid 15:s for the 1/4 mile.

According to Motorweek it should run a 7.0 0-60. Unknown on the 1/4 mile

If you "want to be close to an SRT4" you had better buy the V8, cause even the v8 is gonna have trouble with lightly modded SRT4's since stock for stock its a drivers race to start with.

The v6 05 HAS NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER against the SRT4

They can do that when they pretty much do no re-engineering on the suspension for it

The V6 engine is sourced from the Ranger and Explorer. Not exactly what one would call a sports car engine... Motor Trend said it's very reluctant to rev and pretty much a dog. Save the money and get a V8... or an SRT-4.

I don't think you need to save any money, the v6 I saw was $22k with $5k markup, end price of $27k. Even at $22k, that's an SRT-4 right there.
