I use the DCC, and it's great... long wait times but whatever, you have time, order it now and install when it gets there.

The clutch fan 'feathers' when it cools. It's not much of a draw at cruise either. Increasing the demand on an alternator also increases the parasitic draw.
In the end, I dunno that you're saving much but you do sacrifice quite a bit of airflow not just through the radiator, but through the entire engine bay.

I’d cut a notch in the fan shroud. As picky as you are, you should be able to make it fit perfectly.Of course nothing is easy. My radiator has a support bar on the outside of the core. I either need to remove it, or modify the bracket to fit around it
