Will the hydro boost conversion not work with the standard PS pump? I mean as far as having the reservoir, pump all in one?

It will work fine with the standard pump.

I have the SN95 remote mount reservoir and would just like to try to use it. I'm trying to prep for possibly a Termi/Coyote swap down the road, so that's the reason for the hydroboost and remote reservoir now.

SO decided to work on the car a bit more. Installed the dash harness into the firewall and started working on the hydroboost. WHat a PITA. Even with nothing in the interior, it's just tight and awkward to get in there and hang the pedals and bolt the booster in, and get the brake switch setup. But it's done. This is partially why i wanted to do this now. I don't need to do this ever again down the road when.....well, we will see what i do one day down the road.

Heres the new AL spacer plate installed.

Hanging the pedals and putting it all back together. Organized chaos. Actually who am i kidding this is not organized.

I will work on getting the matching bullitt pedal on the brake pedal at a later date. I may even purchase another brake pedal pad from MM so I can work on hacking/welding it up while still having one to drive on. This will likely be a low priority.

End result in the engine bay. I need to start feeding things like the clutch cable, speedo cable and hood release through.

I also decided to put the bumper back on. I was getting temped to put tools and such on the freshly painted radiator support and inner rails, so I put the bumper back on to give me a sort of work-bench to use. Plus it gets one more thing out of my way.

Of course....i had to paint hardware and give the bumper a good wash.

Next project...spindles. Need to ream the tie rod holes to 5/8” and clean/paint. Part of me wants to Powdercoat them, but it almost feels like a waste. I painted the 94/95 spindles, and it held up fine. Just loads of road grime all over.

not selling the 94/95 spindles. Squirreling them away.

I was at a Porsche dealership for work a couple weeks ago and the front calipers on a hybrid 2020 Panamera are
insanely large. Not sure if they are housing some type of power regeneration flux core capacitor or something but ......

Sprang for a personalized stats report. With 211k mustangs made in ‘88, I knew it wouldn’t be a rare car. Interesting to see it does break down to a 1 of 1. Not that it means much really. Just interesting.

It’s a shame I took the block heater out ;)

Curious, did you consider the Volvo EPS to eliminate your power steering?

I did, but I wasn’t sold on it. Did some looking into it, talked to a few that installed it and in the end it seemed more of a novelty with too much risk. I just figured it was easier to keep the pump intact and keep it simple considering my brakes and steering would be tied to its ability to remain functional

New front end brake lines showed up. Unfortunately, since my brake setup is custom, I need to piece lines together from a few different cars.

Under $100 shipped for stainless lines for up to the firewall Union. Got them from SStubes.com

Unfortunately these lines I can’t use. I need to find a 94 mustang non-abs drivers front yard line. I already have the MC lines from max motorsports for the oem master. If I run the Baer MC, I’ll need to make them. So these lines will likely go on eBay so I can recoup my cost

Installed the brake lines today. Not a major ordeal but in hindsight it would have been easier to do this before the hydroboost went in.

got the adjustable valve in as well. Left the lines loose for now just in case I need to move something. I’ll tighten later.

Also found this. Wasn’t going to replace this line, but discovered it was wearing through. This line runs from the adjustable prop valve to the rear brajes. $80 for the lines in SS from same sourve. I’ll chsnge it later but before I drive the car

Thanks. I’m trying to make sure everything goes back together better, but at the same thing I’m trying to avoid buying everything new. I’d rather refurbish my original stuff vs a Chinese repro. Some areas, I have no choice.

for instance, the throttle cable. Mine is rusted. New ones are not available. Looks like I’m sanding and painting

Maybe an Evaporust immersion?

I decided to mock up the pass side. I need to mount the brake and fuel lines and need to make sure they cleared the coil overs. While I had a spindle on the car, I figured might as well...

Starting to look like a car again. All this stuff needs to come off again though, but making progress.

Looks great! A bit overwhelming as far down as you went with interior too.
On the throttle cable if the outer sheath is ok. You can have a competent snow truck accessory shop make you a new cable they are standard ends. That's what I did on my carb set up after fighting with the cheap plastic ends on the aftermarket replacement.
