In GA I'd only recomend 2 shops

A&W Performance - Jasper, GA (Andy or William)

Modular Powerhouse - Roswell, GA (Tim or Andy) Use to be T&J Performance

Don't get me wrong there's other great shops out there and that do tons of business. This doesn't mean they'll ever get my money again.

I like these guys cause they're laid back and they don't push sales. They're straight foward and if you have any problems with the work they will put you to the front of the line.

A&W Performance - is a small shop but the guys are really nice William is kinda slow with technical explinations but he's a badass technican. Andy hooks everyone up, extremely quick, and tells you everything straight up. Need something done fast no waits here. Good shop to goto cause the guys aren't in it to make a living at it.

ModularPowerhouse - Tim is cool, really laid back but when stuff needs to get done he knows what to do. Andy is the workhorse cool dude too... High quality work just takes awhile to get everything done cause they have so much stuff going on.

I'm hard to please and one thing I hate is when people hang around the shop and lean up on cars this happens a lot around mustang shops. At A&W there's not that many people that hang out there plus Andy wont let anyone in the shop area. At Modularpowerhouse Rhonda, Tim's wife keeps all the punks off the cars, even at the big dyno days...

I called MV Performance about a charger set-up I wanted last year and spoke with Tim he was pretty rude.

Another vote of confidence for Modularpowerhouse. Tim and Rhonda= good people.

All the above and some. Really helpful and extremely gracious. Had work done there too, recently transmission swap, battery relocate and some other stuff that 'popped' up. They were great.
Currently out of town, military stuff, and they stayed in contact to let me know everything that was going on.

I have used MV Performance as well and they are okay in the customer service route.

They are close to you and do a good job.

If you want better customer service, excellent knowledge and waranty work on your car then check out MPH as stated above.

their forums are at www.modularpowerhouse.com nad you can see they are putting out 600 RWHP S/C GT's all day long!

Basically they know their ****!

A&W has better prices on parts but don't offer that much on tuning for newer models. But you have a fox body, right? I think they have DiabloSport setup? Hands down Andy at A&W is the best carburator tuner I have ever encountered. Doesn't seem like there is much you can do with a carb? think again. He's done a few 347s and 331s that I've watched him tune and they put better numbers up even over the fuel injection kits BY FAR!! But then Tim at MPH is an all out badass with SCT Programing.

Tuning and labor rates are about the same

I talked with Andy at A&W today he has a new 347 for-sale They built it for a guy and set everything up and the new 427 renegade kit was brought out so they took that motor out and building the 427 right now

Yeah, i would say that Tim would be your best bet on Modular Motor not Carbed.

i'm not too far from you. I'm in Lithonia. There is a guy in Conyers,GA named Scott that runs Coupe Performance. He is bad ass and a good guy. I think he used to work for Atlanta Chasiss Dyno. Scott does amazing work on Mustangs. He did a hell of a port job work on Brad Brand's black coupe. If you know racing, you know Brad has one of the baddest and fastest Mustangs on the planet. I think it's putting out over 2,000HP. MMFF did an piece on his car and he told them that Scott of Coupe Performance did his heads.
If you're in the neighborhood, I can introduce to some good guys and friends of mine that work on Mustangs. My friend that stays behind me has a killer Mustang. That car is wicked. He did most of the work himself. He wakes up the neighborhood when he is in it.

Ive been dealing with M.V. for years. I like them alot. They are just always really busy so sometimes you may get a short quick answer which you may think is rude but they are not. Go talk with them in person. I have learned a ton about mustangs from Tim Matherly. Also Tim at Modular powerhouse is a great guy. Before he was doing his own business he was going out of his way to get my car blower car set-up with the help from Higgins Performance. Though I thought he does not work with 5.0s just mod motors in his shop?

MV Performance and Modular Powerhouse are the two best Mustang shops in the Southeast. You can't go wrong with either one of them. They are both very busy, so it may take you a while to get in.

MV has done nothing but good things that I have seen . MPH is awsome. You will be happy either way. do not look for the cheapest. Use proven tuners.

AOD to T5 swap in my 92

My first experience with MV was great. They did an AOD to T5 swap in my 1992 Notchback. Mark McDonald did the whole swap in one day and it drove tight when I left. Mark even gave me some tips on other things to replace while I had everything apart which he didn't have to do. About a week later I noticed a little tranny oil leaking onto the X-pipe and they said to bring it right in. They got me right in and fixed the O-ring where the speedo cable went into the trans. Great customer service. They are very busy down there but I think the customer service is great. They seem to do a lot of modular motor work but also do 5.0 stuff too. I know Year One brings their stuff there as well. I saw both of their fastback Mustang show cars there getting tuned when I was leaving with my coupe.
