Well I knew this would happen, just was hoping it wouldn't be this soon....VERY SOON my car and I are going to have to part ways for the next few months and neither will be able to experience the joy and happiness the cam/manifold swap has given us *tear*. Since the taking of that picture a total of 1.6" of snow have fallen here. The forecast is mostly 40's-low 50's and they're thinking that we won't be seeing much of anything better til next spring now.

On a slightly better note, I got really bored one day and decided that the Duplicolor paint I had should be put to use so I took a wire brush, angle grinder, rust destroyer, more grinding and wire brushing, rust to primer converter, and finally some duplicolor silver and clearcoat to the car. About 1 hours worth of work transfomed the car from this...

to this...lol...I didn't care at all about masking it off as you can see

Now I just gotta use the leftover black RTV to seal my leaky sunroof being as I don't enjoy sitting on a soaking wet seat. Another good thing is we fixed my windshield wipers on the bonneville today now too. I've been driving without wipers for the last 2 full months ive gotten out of it, and of those 2 months easily half the time it has been driven in weather that was either rain or snow.

Yeah I think I asked about that last year. That was before I had the bonneville I think, or maybe right around the time I bought it!

Minnesota and Ontario get, on average, around the same ammount of snow (36" vs 37" respectively on low-end averages).

Low temps really suck, you're lucky, you don't have a damn snail attached to your motor. My snail gets pissy below 40'F and starts making my motor angry

Thanks 1965, I try to keep the exterior in as mint/clean condition as possible even though it's not as nice in person. Parents cars get the garage and the 3rd stall is full so i'm stuck parked outside all year long, sun + black paint = no good.

Stang97, that large open plot is a golf course haha. We used to have a couple hundred acres of field in our backyard but now it's been developed no more golf ball whackage in the back yard (funny thing is, nobody in my family golfs haha)

Ponyrocks....Fuzion ZRi's do NOT get traction on snow. They are harder than a virgin in a strip club and when mixed with any frozen precip there is no grabbing power whatsoever. I drove the car all winter long the first year I had it on bald noname tires, got the rims and Fuzions and it got stuck in the friggin driveway 3 times so I had to get the bonneville and park the Mustang. In a way thats good though, i'll extend the life of it before it rusts to crap...believe me, roads up here demolish cars over time due to the tons of salt/sand that are dropped on them and then the water on top of that.

Here is a picture...yellow circled area used to be either sugar beets or wheat, now its low income modular housing...we have 3 lots in our backyard alone (50 foot lots...it's stupid). The red dot is on my house and if you look close enough you can see a black smudge in the driveway that is my Mustang haha.

I got snow tires this year, last 3 years I didn't use anything but the Stockers or the Kumhos... your snow is probly more persistant there though, in CO the roads are usually cleared withing 1-2 days.

Yeah once it falls and the ground freezes the roads are covered in a mixture of snow and ice until mid march. On top of that you get the stupid people that are visiting friends who have never driven on snow before and totally flip out and drive either WAY too fast for the conditions or WAY too slow...stupid texas drivers...

So how bad is it really? My dad left California yesterday to go to Buffalo (Williamsville) and is now stuck in Rochester at some crappy motel by the airport.

Is the weather really that bad? Are they shutting down the city?

Just curious from the 75 degree california (Air conditioning on)

Im in buffalo and alot of places got 2 feet of snow here last night. IT was also really wet and heavy so it knocked down some trees and powerlines. Alot of the roads were shutdown. I dont think rochester got as much snow but he most likely would have had trouble getting into buffalo last night or earleir today. Weve definately seen worse but generally not in mid october lol.
