Hey, while JRichker is there, why dont you have him take a look at your hood gap issue might be a good time since you already have the top off the motor..

if it were me, i would literally get in the engine bay with a flashlight, have him close the hood, and look around to see where its hitting.

HAHA! I cant fit in there even with the top of the motor out. I dont really care about it that much.

Exhaust valves tend to look that way, they are exposed to temps. of 1200* +
and get a whiteish discoloration. A good indicator to if you are running rich/lean is to learn to read your spark plugs. FYI

My spark plugs were white aswell. I was told that was normal since im N/A, but I was also told if my valve are that white then im running lean.

Parts came in today! I had bought some parts at the local parts store and ordered some online that would be cheaper. Heres everything!

Head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, the infamous felpro 1250 intake gaskets, arp head bolts, 02 sensor extensions.

Ill be heading out to jrichkers place today so we can work on my headers to make them fit with the spark plugs. And tomorrow morning the headswap should be completed! Ill keep you guys updated as always.

Time for an update!

Hey guys, didnt really do anything yesterday. Went over to jrichkers place and figured out my headers arent going to work. So today or tomorrow im gonna have to get some new headers, im just going to go with the frpp shorties. My and Joe got alot of stuff done today. Without him I wouldnt have been able to do this. Well I would have but it wo uld have been halfassed. He has great methods for putting on the gaskets and all that stuff that make everything go on great and you have the secirty knowing its going to be fine even when the engine is running. All I have left to do is go pick up some new injector caps, the rockers were adjusted but not torqued down so im gonna have to do that again, and just put on the upper intake. Once I get the headers I can put the exhaust back together and fire her up! Heres the pics, enjoy.

Actually starting to look like an engine!
