A few weeks ago it was so nice I did take it out for a boot. Maybe I will be able to try out the s/c when done if weather permitting

Why Roush?

Hi,

Fellow Canuck here.. why did you go with Roush as opposed to a Vortech? Was the lower boost pressure of the roots design the selling point?

Cheers!

I felt the enginneering from roush was better. The other charger like vortech and procharger are made more for serious drag racers etc the same s/c will fit many different cars. The roush is for only a 05 roush with a standard trans that's it nothing else..I just started some of the work tonite and the quality of parts are very good and fit just like they were factory. The other s/c are a lot less but I feel with the support from roush with pcm flashing etc. I think I went the right way. I saw some procharger installed and it looked like they were put together with all different kind of pieces thrown together to make it fit. The fellow had lots of power" he claimed 520"" er I didn't think so. But he was also having some code lights on and various litle problem. Seems he was alwys going to the shop. The fellows with older roush s/c are very happy with theirs with little problems.

So that's like $1,500 USD?

Nice addition Do full exhaust and you'll love it even more.

BTW, go to www.photobucket.com and get a free account to post pics. You can post as many as you want almost as large as you want.

Thinking of doing what you've done..

Hi again,

After a lot of research I am leaning towards either a twin screw or roots type of SC for my 05 GT. With the Roush where did you buy it for 7100 Can? (I live in Ottawa) As well given that roots type blowers generate lots of heat even at low psi did you consider an intercooler?

Cheers and Merry Christmas

If you click on the little pictures above they will magically appear larger. If you look at these larger pictures you will see this thing that looks like a radiator. This is called an intercooler.

Sorry I thought I was talking to my friends' 2 1/2 year old son.
Oh I forgot the 2 year old could tell the difference between an Sn95 and an S197 since last spring.

No worries thump_rrr!

I have been spending to much time researching and not enough time thinking!

So far on the SC front I've drawn the following conclusions;

1) If I want off the line performance I go with either a roots or twin screw piece of kit.

2) On a stock block/internals I want to keep power to 400-420 rwhp.

3) Of the the two types of SC listed above my best bet is Roush or Saleen.

Any suggestions, comments or fresh ideas are welcome!

Cheers!
