awesome, thanks for the info! it all checks out, except someone swapped out the front seats at one time. They are vinyl and dark blue with the halo headrests.

Eleven years later in Berlin, Germany....
I have found tons of information everywhere, but nothing to decode the door sticker that is on my 1990 LX Convertible 2,3l myself.
I would like to get a link, to decode it myself, otherwise I would appreciate your help, looking at the pictures of my decals and let me know the details.

Left sticker is for the ECU calibration

Right sticker:

Sept '89 Scheduled build month
Exterior Paint: Y0 = Oxford white
Body: LXC LX convertible
DSO 24 = Jacksonville
VR W = White convertible top
Int Trim: AA = Titanium cloth (base model)
R: 9 AM/FM stereo cassette (not premium sound)
AX: 6 = 3.73 non-locking differential
TAPE: P = Light Charcoal (this is a painted pinstripe along the top side of the car.
MLDG: X = This info I don't have. It should be black molding, with perhaps a tape stripe

Thx for the quick reply. I drive this Stang in Germany since I bought it about 20 years ago. Bought it with black convertible top and blue pinstripe. Colorchanging of top is understandable with a new top, only thing I wonder is the changing of color of the pinstripe.

All that is correct.

Factory "paint" stripes are painted on at the factory. They are not vinyl stripes stuck to the surface of the paint. If your blue pinstripes are vinyl applied over the original light charcoal stripes that was done aftermarket. If your blue pinstripes are painted on, either instead of or over top of the original light charcoal stripes, that was done aftermarket. If the light charcoal stripes are not on the car anymore the car has been repainted.
