im trying to reconnect the shift linkage and the TV cable and cannot figure this out. The chitlins manual doesnt offer much and it just doesnt seem like the peices want to fit together. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you use an AOD from a different model? I did that with an LTD tranny and had to rearrange the linkage to make it fit right. Then you get to readjust the TV cable again to keep your "new" tranny from exploding.

no its an AOD out of my old mustang goin into my notch and i honestly havent worked on the car in about a year and a half. So i really dont recall how it peiced together and have been tryin to figure this out but all i have to go with is this chiltons manual and it doesnt give a step by step and the drawings in there look like my 5 year old nefew drew them up in about 10 seconds

Don't have any drawings, but the TV cable has a nipple looking thing on it that sticks up through a small hole on the throttle bracket and a rubber grommet slides over it to secure.

the easiest fix.. 5 speed swap! lol jk... the tv cable bracket bolts to the tranny.. then the actual cable snaps ontot the ball connector ( on the bracket attached to the shifting linkage) and MAKE SURE you check, and double check the adjustment... and even double check the procedure. mine was off and thats why i have a t5z now lol
