Need best header gasket matching for AFR 165's and BBK Longtube 1 5/8's?

I apologize, I meant HEADER gasket...and not head gasket.

Okay, I know the "common" response is to get the FEL-1415 but I remember when I installed those gaskets they overlapped the afr 165 exhaust ports which could cut off the smoothness of the flow and I want something that goes over the ports (without obstruction) and still seal to the longtubes?

Anybody?

I used FMS graphite H/gaskets, with my AFR's... 2 years now, and Boost, no problems!

good choice

..you could also try the multi-layer aluminum gaskets(Percy's seal-4-good), you can "port" them out however much you need...only downside is the $35 price tag

I used the FMS graphites as well -- I've had the same ones on and off several times -- never a problem even with the 3rd and 4th bolt up. Be sure your header flange is true/flat.

Is their any gaskets that will seal and be as big as the AFR exhaust ports?

That part number does sound familiar...I bet that is the one I need (fel-1416).

I just didn't like the fact that the gasket was hurting the flow so I needed something that actually fit...
