I have searched and cannot find a good answer for this question.

I purchased a 2007 GT last week. Car has 15,800 miles. The previous owner started doing mods with a supercharger in mind. He added a Fidanza Aluminum flywheel and Spec3+ clutch. The clutch has more pedal pressure than I care to deal with in stop and go traffic. I plan to eventually supercharge the car, but I need a clutch that has stock pedal feel or close to it. I have read of a few but need some real opinions.

I called a local transmission shop and told him what I wanted. He quoted me $1200 for install of a Shelby GT500 clutch. He said one of the owners kids has the clutch in his 05GT and said he could set at a stoplight all day with it as it had easy pressure. Since I have a Fidanza flywheel, I have been looking at the Fidanza 3.2 clutch. But, I don't want to spend a ton of money to get something just like I have now.

The other issue is that I have a lot of chatter and take-off noise from the clutch. I have also read from guys on here that the Spec clutches are noisy, but, Another guy I know is running 600+ HP on an 05 with the same clutch and says he has no noise. I am worried the clutch was not installed properly.

Anyone running a clutch that can handle a supercharger but have a light pedal feel please chime in!

Thanks!

Spec clutch

I put in a Spec stage 2+ and it is just as light as my stock one was. the stage 2+ is rated for 600+ ftlbs of torque. fyi, mine is treating me great, but some people have had some problems with theres (though mostly its been the pre s197's and the LS1's) Centerforce DF clutch is a good one also, LOTS of people running it, but its not rated for as strong a motor. maybe 530? not sure

The Centerforce DF is an awesome clutch with a stock feel. It's good for up to about 10 psi with a blower. I highly recommend it. Mine's been great.
