I have a 2002 gt that has been lowered. There is a noise in the front end that sounds terrible everytime I hit the smallest bump. Could that be the shocks or ? I've never had a lowered car so I'm not sure about it. Thanks for any help

I know when I bought my springs from A.M. they recomend that you buy shocks and most places want the caster chamber plates to be installed for an allignment.
how many miles are on the car and are the shocks stock?
and how low did u lower the car?

Is this a new issue? Just started when you lowered it?

The first thing comes to my mind is a loose nut ontop of the strut. That could be a SERIOUS HAZARD if that's the case. Either way, you'll want to get the nose in the air and start wiggling parts. Check ball joints, nuts/bolts on the struts, brakes, ect

You need to get it up in the air and check it out. Common culprits are the strut mounts and the swaybar endlinks. But we don't have enough information to properly diagnose it over the internet.

I bought it this way. Not sure how low but it appears really low. It does have caster chamber plates.

Car has 98000 miles.

Without hearing it in person, it is tough to say. If it is a lot of squeaking, look at the balljoints. They are loud and irritating when theyre bad.
