i posted this on turbomustangs.com, but i know we got some smart people over here, so if anyone could help that would be great.

As some of you may know, im currently using an electric oil return pump from my turbos. However, im a bit worried in case of a failure.
If a oil line comes off, or rips, the pump could pump all my oil onto the road, and i would never know till its too late, or the car behind me turns black or, if my pump died for some reason, that could also cause issues....SO, i need a way to monitor the return flow of the oil, but i'll be dammed if i can think of a good way to do it. I was thinking of putting an oil pressure gauge in the return line, but with it being 1/2" hose, i dont know if it will even push much pressure, enough to read on a gauge anyhow.

So, anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I would have also said oil pressure, but that is a big line like you said. Does anyone have an oil pressure gauge that you could hookup to see if it works or not?

if you run a seperate tank, then a low oil level sensor would be ok.

i am thinking i might just get an oil pressure gauge, and see if it reads......if it doesent then ill just hook it up to the engine.

i know if it does read, it will be low, but thats all i need.
