I need some input from some of you guys that have experienced this before. My car makes a weird scrapping sound when I rev up hi, and it seems to come sometimes from one exhaust exit pipe and sometimes from the other, so I'm beginning to think it can't be anything before my X-pipe or else I wouldn't be getting the sound from both exit pipes. It also tends to back fire and turn off when shifting into fourth gear sometimes because the RPM's immediately drop after releasing the clutch. I don't hear any kind of knocking or haven't had any problems in the engine compartment, so I'm beggining to think either my O2 sensors are bad, or my headers or mid pipe have some kind of exhaust leak. If somebody has a better idea, please help me out, I'd appreciate it. My car has run well for about 1 1/2 yrs, with this setup without any problems, and I take pretty good care of the engine.
