As you all know the 96-01 mustangs were recalled with the plastic crossover on the intake crack. And well mine has bit the dust. Ive heard of the dorman product actually restricting the car nd losing hp so im juat curious what brand i should go with. Im looking at getting basic bolt ons down the road but nothing the stock engine cant take. Any help is much appreciated

I personally have had mixed results with the Dorman intake. One OK. The other started leaking a small amount of coolant just over a year later. I will be re-sealing in an attempt to salvage the $$ spent on the intake.

If I were doing this over again, no question about it. Go with the Ford name brand product.

I have a chinese knock off on mine, and have had no issues. Mine's a 98 though (NPI) so there aren't many options. In your case, I would probably spring for a new Ford one.
