hey im new and still green, so all the help i can get is great! i have a 351w swap thats been stroked to 393. shes got all the goodies, but after driving only 200 miles, i noticed my front main leaking. when i replaced it, i noticed that the crankshaft and hole where it comes thru on cover did not line up dead center.
it has the tc cover where the seal goes in from the front. it also has this huge oil pan, and when i cleaned off all the stuff to get ready to reset all, it appears that the pan is not lining up with tc cover, and that is why shes springing leaks. the damper is not evenly spaced and is wearing away a side of the seal. the tc cover seams to have room to wiggle on right then bolt down tight, but pan restricts it. everything was in a 10 sec car of a friends, and he never had this problem. it only happened when i took to a shop. can i mill down bottom of tc cover to match pan? what can i do????
