I forgot to mention, you could just make a nearly identical enclosure to the factory Mach 1000 and it would sell very well. It fits, and should provide about 1.75 CuFt (total) at a glance. How much space can you squeak out, total, and what kind of mounting parameters (depth, total diameter, etc)?

Yikes. That will lead to alot of cancellation. Its best to keep subs mounted on the same plain and close together.

True, I didn't think that out, they should be close together.

To catch up a little bit on some of the questions and comments...

Adding a second sub to the other corner does result in a lot of cancelation. multiple subs need to be mounted on the same plane, in close proximity, to produce the best results, We have a limited amount of room without blocking the spare tire cover, two 12" might be too large...

It appears that Ford used four amplifiers to drive the Shaker 1000 subwoofer enclosure. I will try to get some details on the amps and what might be possible for an aftermarket solution.

For the grill we are thinking that more protection is needed. How important is it to be able to see the woofer?

Please protect the woofer first. Who cares what it looks like if it has a big hole in it.

Scosche already has one that is custom fit for the 05 stang. I am planning on getting it. I may wait a little to see one of the Q-Logic boxes first.

Any estimate on when this will be available?
