How can the crank trigger wheel or whatever its called break? I checked the tensionors and chain and everything looks good. Thanks.

I seem to recall that earlier ones are powdered metal and later ones are the better stamped steel. If I had to guess, I'd say yours was probably powdered metal?? It's not unheard of for these to break under high rpm stress.

Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Thanks. Anyone else. Is it a simple fix? Does it involve removing the timing chain and what not? or is it a simple fix? From what I could tell...it just seemed to slip right on into the grove. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT
