Hey guys. Ive got a 08 V6 Auto with BBK drop in CAI and single Flowmaster AT axleback muffler, everything else on the care is stock. About 2 days ago something kinda odd happened. I was driving down the road at a moderate speed (45 mph) and had to get around someone. So i slightly gunned it and got to about 4K rpm, then let off the gas when i got around them. As soon as i put down on the gas again the car sounded like i had an off road pipe on it, and at stop lights the car was idling real hard making the whole car shake, felt kinda like a stall but the engine kept running. The thing i found ever odder was i turned the car off then restarted it and it was back to normal, nothing out of the ordinary. Im not much of a mechanic but i looked under the hood and check the CAI to make sure everything was still secure and tight, all was fine. Looked under the car and checked the pipes and muffler everything looked secure and fine. This car is my DD i drive about 15-20 miles a day in her, and havent noticed this problem since then. Have any of you ever encountered this before or know what may have caused it? Thanks!

i have seen this a few times in the past. only when a cai was installed without a tune. sometimes it reads a sudden rush of air on the maf. if it happens again, switch off the car, remove both battery cables and touch them together, then replace the battery cables and start the car. drive the car for a few miles but make sure to floor it at least 3-4 times.
basicly what you just did is reflash or reset the computer. it will relearn what it has to do to control the air flow. after that you should notice a small increase in power too.

Hey thanks for the help. I'll absolutely keep that in mind if it happens again. As of now so far so good tho.
