Good times. I think this is the first time I have ever read a post by you regarding strip times that you have been happy with.

yeah I was really happy and I know the car still has a good bit more in it. We are getting ready for the top-end change very soon. Plus I'm changing to a complete MSD w/ a 2-step next week. The car definately has a 12sec 1/4mile pass in it. I just have to learn to drive it with the newly found power.

Sounds like you have some of the bugs worked out. Everyone is going to the track and making me want to go. I have made 200 passes in the last couple years. A couple months ago I tore the motor down for some minor upgrades and the Spec stage 3 clutch and then had to have a couple of operations. So I have been set back for a while and it is driving me nuts sitting here not working and reading about how everyone else is getting faster. Soon enough I will get it back together and be boosting again. What do your current time translate to in the 1/4 mile..

One site I found said it worked out to a 12.85 another says about 13flat. It felt like a 12 sec pull but its hard tell....I had never been that fast in that car.

Good to see ya again, and congrats on the times! Sorry I didn't really stay and chat, I was so busy with the Neon. Which by the way I ran a 9.2 @ 78.9 with it. (faster than the red one!) There was a black guy there with a blue one, and some how he managed to do an 11-something with it?

PS- I bought a white 5-speed '85 Merkur XR4Ti while I was on vacation in delaware, running and driving, for $600. I just have to pick it up now. But unfortunetly I can't buy your T-bird now. But I do plan on takin the merk to sumerduck in a week or two. Should be fun.

Excellent to hear. Yeah I definately know what your talking about when you say "busy". It was probably 20 cars running from luray alone and everybody kept bothering me. They wanted to talk about what they might build and side work and things like that. I had enough on my mind already.
Good job on the times, 9.2 is rolling. All it will take is a little practice and We'll set you up on that silver SRT-4 that was super cocky because he made it into the 8's.
We saw the guy in the blue SRT at a gas station on the way home. He was telling some girl how fast his car was. Seems like he could drive better since he's been there a bunch.

Find a T5 for merk. Have you driven it yet? They are really fun cars.

It sucked there was sooo many people there thursday! What made it worse was that there were so many breakdowns.

I was told by a few people that the reason the silver one was running in the 8's was because it had a 50 shot on it. I would think it would be damn near impossible to run an 8.9 on a stock one at sumerduck. The best stock 1/8th mile time I've even seen on SRTforums was 9.0. I guess it's possible, but I was a little skeptical of that guy. Even belvedere guy who has made about 25 passes with the red neon at the track says he doesn't know how you could get it to go that fast.

Anyways, I'll pick up a T-5 for the merk, shouldn't be too hard. I only drove it about 10 miles, but it seemed to drive great.

Are you going to be at sumerduck at all from now til september?

that guy needs to run either one of the civics and that should bring his EGO back down.

Yeah the part about being the last runs.......
It was going to be but I'm too close to the 7's to quit now. I think it will happen this year. Then the car will be retired for a little while. But like Micheal Jordan it'll be back. It wont be next week but it will hopefully be Thursday the 12th.
