ran a 10.71 @ 125.xx with a 1.49 60'.....

I really think that arb i put on helped in addition to a new top secret strategy i have for launching, haha. Hoping to dig a little deeper in the 1.4x and run a 10.6 THEN CRANK THE BOOST UP!!

where were all the mustang guys? I've never raced at pir and it was crazy how much rice was there wasting valuable track time in their fwd civics dragging water through the water box with their rear tires

im going to bed...

They may not be the quickest car in a straight line, but they leave a lot in the dust when a corner comes up, and stops extremely quick for a $23k car.

The times werent too good, but the 106mph trap isnt bad for a wagon. FWD sucks.

My best with the Speed3 was 13.4 at 104. I couldnt get anything below 13.8 last night.

These cars have only been out for a couple of years, and nobody has really successfully tuned these for lots of power. There were 2 tuned by unichip down there, but they were way too slow for whats been done to them. These ECUs are too smart, something crazy like 12 different maps per gear, some are dependant on the steering wheel angle.

The black one with the front mount actually dynod at 290/320 on only 16.5psi on the stock turbo, a few more pounds of boost and it would really move out.

Intake, bypass valve, downpipe, race pipe, programmer (which has yet to prove its worth... long story), motor mount inserts (ordering stiffer motor mount soon), double adjust short shifter, shifter bushings, WOT shift box/2 step, and I think thats it. I will be ordering a front mount intercooler pretty soon and getting dyno tuned, and I hope I will be done with modding the motor for now. I want 300whp for daily driving. Springs, sway bars, rims/tires may follow some day. It just gets too expensive too fast.

Hows the Fox doing? Been down to PIR at all lately? When are you painting it?

Wow thats a lot of stuff since the last time I saw you on sr500 I dont remember but is yours a stick or an auto? The last time I went to PIR was july 4th and hit another best at 12.45 at 114.7 with a 1.8x 60 foot with 17's up front and small 26x8.5's in the rear. Yea and about painting the stang I spent some money toward registration for tax and licensing on a daily I got which is an 04 GLI jetta, nothing special though.

Ah, good job on the 12.45. Were those drag radials on the rear? How do you like the Jetta? Are you still working at Cricket?

The Mazdaspeed3 is a 6 speed manual. Front mount has been ordered. Once I go in for a dyno tune, Im hoping for 300whp/330ftlbs and 12 seconds in the 1/4 on street tires.

It may be wishful, but not unheard of.

The tires were used slicks that I bought off craigslist but Im gonna sell those though and get some wider meats for the strip. The jetta is ok the only thing is that its REALLY heavy, so performance wise Im not gonna go ALL out trying to make it fast. So far I've got an intake and a forge 007 diverter valve for it. And yea Im still working for cricket down in clackamas been there for a year now. So how much boost does the mazda hold and what does it peak at right now?

Right now its holding about 16-17lbs of boost, then tapers down as it nears redline. When it gets tuned, I want it to hold 19lbs, then taper down near redline. These turbos are small and arent efficient much further past 19lbs, especially in higher RPMs.

The FMIC map is supposed to hold 19lbs, but we'll see how that goes.
