This is gonna be short and sweet, I will elaborate tomorrow...

Went to Fords @ Etown and ran the 11.50 index and the Gear Jammers class. Here are the timeslips in order of lsowest to fastest. The clutch began to go away as the day went on.

The numbers will read 60', 1/8 @ mph and 1/4 @ mph.

1.824
8.349 @ 79.87
13.345 @ 93.17

2.155
8.442 @ 86.26
13.008 @ 108.17

1.870
8.167 @ 83.24
12.744 @ 107.16

1.735
8.078 @ 82.23
12.667 @ 107.04

1.799
8.049 @ 83.00
12.597 @ 107.88

1.693
7.988 @ 82.58
12.572 @ 106.84

NEW BEST:
1.735
7.973 @ 83.03
12.531 @ 107.49

SO there it is. SOmehow snagged a 1.69 60' with 17's out back and 18's out front and even beat my 12.56 old personal best. I'm happy with a 12.53 knowing the clutch was on it's way. Hopefully have some video soon.

Also to note, brothers GT40P car went 12.14 @ 111 which is a new best, and the dads car went 9.93 @ 135 which is a new best!

Alright, got some sleep, time to elaborate on the day.

The weather was awesome for racing. Temps in the 50s, bright sun, a little wind but all in all some of the best weather one could ask for. Tires were 26x10.5 17" ET Streets, non radial. Now bear with me as I break down each run :

1st Pass:
Fresh off the trailer I bolted the ET Streets on, tossed them at 14.5 psi and figured I would see what happened the first pass. Backed into the water and did a 2nd gear burnout rolling out at the end. Pulled to the line, 5000 launch or so and the right rear tire just went up. Spun all of first and some into 2nd. Crossed the traps with the highest mph of the day.
2.155
8.442 @ 86.26
13.008 @ 108.17

2nd Pass:
After a sad first run I decided to change it up. Tossed 13.5 psi in the tires and decided to avoid rolling out of the burnout. I also tried a trick I'm not sure actually worked. I did my 2nd gear burnout, stopped just shy of the beams, and backed the car up 3-4 feet. I heard this helps the trac loc. Staged and threw the car on the factory 6250 limiter. Took the light and went...
1.799
8.049 @ 83.00
12.597 @ 107.88

3rd Pass:
Car felt much better after the 2nd run and I knew it had more in it. Dropped the pressure down into the 12.5 range and did the same burnout, stage routine. Put the car on the limiter and let it rip. This pass was the first clutch slippage I felt and it only hit in 4th.
1.735
8.078 @ 82.23
12.667 @ 107.04

4th Pass:
Thinking the clutch issue was a fluke I decided to just keep going, we had the trailer I knew it had a new best in it. Did 12 psi in the tires, same burnout/stage routine, staged and let it fly. Clipped a .009 light on a 500 pro tree as well and ran...
1.735
7.973 @ 83.03
12.531 @ 107.49

5th Pass;
Car went its best ever, but the clutch did feel like it was slipping. I decided to just forget about it and run it till it broke. Clutch was real bad on ths pass and the mph showed it to me...
1.693
7.988 @ 82.58
12.572 @ 106.84

6th Pass;
Figuring it was the last pass I thought there was an off chance of a new best even with the clutch. Same burnout and launch 11 psi. Car spun bad and I missed 3rd on my way to a...
1.824
8.349 @ 79.87
13.345 @ 93.17

7th Pass:
Somehow the other guy red lit and broke out, so I was in round 2 of the 11.50 index. Gave it one more go but traction and clutch issues didn't help me out. Car went...
1.870
8.167 @ 83.24
12.744 @ 107.16

All in all it was a good day. Strtrcr5.0 (sorry Rob if I got that wrong) came out and video taped for me. Really appreciate it, and a real nice guy. 1990coupe (again probably messed it up) came out and watched some racing and we snagged some photos out in Asbury Park. Good meeting both you guys, was a good weekend altogether.

How does that car keep getting faster? You blow my mind, mid 12's on unported E7s. Pretty sweet.

BTW, project Blue Balls looks GREAT! My dad thought so too, was impressed when he saw it drive by coming into the track! Real clean job with it!

Yeah, Justin, now that is pretty much done, (I know you want to paint it), but you should get some pics up either here, or in your progress thread.

Car doesn't even really need paint, all waxed up it looked real good! 18"s are also the best choice for fox bodies IMO.

I know man, I thought his car looked pretty damn good too in all the progress pics. I want to see it all done and cleaned up though, I figured it looked really good as it is.

I agree with 18's on a fox are the best choice. I should have stepped up and spent the extra cash for them on Hack Job. The only 18 that would work is the 18X8.5 Bullets...which I really love. Should spent the extra cash...you only live once.

I like the 17s on Hack Job though, they sit right in the wheel well which is one main reason I dislike tires and wheels on some cars. Hell my car yesterday with the 17" stock Bullitts and ET Streets looked retarded. Gonna order up some 17x10.5s for the track though .

We had a great time too. Wish we got to hang around longer, but next time we Definitely will. We'll have to head out to AC or dave n busters or "plan" something the next time you guys are in town.. Also if your bud justin wanted to do some type of photoshoot again, i'll clean up the car and make the trip out, 2.5 hours isn't that bad

Thanks for the comments, i loveeee the car. Its not that much of a "blue balls" car now that its staying white but thats alright haha! I didn't have a chance to show your dad the whole car, I'll definitely see you guys again!

Yea it actually waxed up not too bad....

18's FTW! Hack looks good with the 17's in chrome tho IMO.

Agreed on 17's look good on hack.

Those bullitts didn't look real retarted. i was just amazed at the time you ran with the giant 18's up front and that car being so low. It looks even better in person even though it wasn't 100% clean. the paint is just beautiful on your car! 17x10.5's would be just nasty on the rear for the track though!!!

Yeah, I'm sure if I say Atlantic City the GF would be down for a weekend .

Next spring I will talk Justin into some shots, maybe find somewhere not too far from you (southern CT or something).

Yeah definately get pics in the progress thread!!! Car looked cleaner than mine, LOL.

17x10.5s would be perfect out back, and I just missed some for $250 shipped (guy was in CT could have stole them for $200 maybe?). Either way I'll get them.

Oh yeah, aren't you and the Chris' late for frisbee!!!

Ok then - AC trip is a definite FTW

That would be cool, we could flip him some beer or get him lunch or something!! he takes some awesome shots.

I cleaned it up best i could so you guys could see its good side haha! Still doesn't hold a candle to your car though

Would those even fit in the rear of your car? I have some slight rubbing on the inner fender when i hit a big bump. I guess its nothing a BFH would fix. 250 shipped is a killer deal. I'm sure something will pop up. Were those rims/tires you were on at the track yesterday Yours or a friends? i can't remember if you said they were yours or not.

Hahaha frisbee game is cancelled today - its overcase and rain is coming. Tomorrow is sunny so the game is on for tomorrow haha!

Actually, you guys are right, the 17's do fill the wells pretty good. Actually real good, that car is low.

I just filled it up yesterday for $28.50, washed the exterior, the jambs, checked all fluids, cleaned the tires and wheels really good, backed her in the garage and throw my Cobra car cover on, while the Cobra is getting work done. It was a sad day. Insurance went to theft and fire only on November 1st. It's gonna sleep til May/June. I might add that in the 2,500 miles I've put on the now 79,000 miles motor, it hasn't burnt a drop of oil.

BTW...25th, as you already know, I think your car is siick. I love the times you are running combined with how nice your car is. I want to see it in person next summer. You couldn't have done a better job on it.

I'm down for AC and I know she is. Maybe after the new year we can plan something. Not sure if you guys are interested but were doing an NYC trip in Dec... I'll email you more about it later.

Justins always down for photos, and yeah hes amazing at what he does! Nice guy too...

The 10.5s fitting, NO idea, but I did the 10s without thinking, just did it. I will most likely test the 10.5s out first. Those wheels and tires were mine, the wheels came off my friends car someone hit, tires my brother bought and we traded, my 15x9 Hoosiers for those.

My car goes away in the trailer in a week or so, whenever we get the dads into the shop. I will know the feeling very very soon!

Thanks for the compliments. Id love to grab a 12.4 or 12.3 before I start on a motor. I really really want a 306 with some compression, work these E7s, custom cam and who knows with the intake, maybe keep the Cobra. It love a solid 11 second E7 car, just sounds cool to me.

No problem...yeah an 11 second car with the E7 stuff and Cobra intake would be awesome! Most say, the Cobra intake is only good for 400HP...but HP doesn't mean a thing sometimes....and you proved that with your car. My Cobra has 414RWHP, and look what you ran vs. me....you actaully got me in the thousandth of a second number....look in my sig...NICE JOB Brian!!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I are going to Vegas with her sister and her boyfriend in January. That would be awesome if you could all meet up in Vegas....party city!! haha
