Well, unexpected, but happy about it. Previous daily driver was an Infiniti g35x sedan that I've had for 8 or so years now. Took it to 172k miles without major issue....until the front driveshaft (AWD) decided to have its u-joint separate at 80mph taking chunks of bell housing with it.

After deciding the repair cost wasn't worth it and needing a daily driver ASAP, I decided to move on.

Picked up a 2014 Taurus Limited and love it. Black w/black leather. 40k miles and certified. Rides awesome.

G35 is in the garage awaiting me to decide its fate. I might try to get it driveable. I have pics of the carnage if interested

Very nice ride! I'm a fan of the majority of the Ford lineup nowadays. This is certainly on my list of possible options when my wife's car gives out.

I'm interested in pics of the damage if you still have them.

I still have the pics. Awaiting me to crawl under there and really assess the damage, but when yjr driveshaft failed at 80mph it took out the bell housing too.

I'm gonna see if I can just replace the shaft. A tech told me to make sure the front differential housing didn't crack as it happens a lot. I'll prob get some time next weekend

That's pretty bad but not as bad as I was originally thinking. Hopefully you can get away with replacing the shaft and bell housing.
