I had to buy a new flywheel today since my old one is covered in cracks on the clutch mating surface, and my question was does it need to get balanced to the engine or is it ok to just bolt it in and go? Its a FRPP replacement from Summit. Thanks!

It is balanced at either 50oz or 28oz. You need a 50oz for a stock bore 5.0.
