Welcome to Stangnet! - you've come to the right place - I would post up in the direct fourm which pertains to your car and also search our forums - not sure what year you have - but most people start out small - with a CAI and a tune - then move up to exhaust etc - and then from there you can go 'crazy' 
........I started on my 07' GT with welding in some mufflers - then lowering springs - then a full exhaust ( then I bought a tuner and a CAI + cams) - but researched and discussed alot of the info here on SN - post some pic's of your ride to the site in the direct forum with your thoughts on what you'd like to do.
