New GT350 from shelby and SVT ???

Did someone heard about a new GT350 made by SVT and Shelby, just like the '07 GT500 ? I found an article where it said that the 350 will have an supercharged 6.0L who will have more than 550hp. It was supposed to be presented at the new york auto show.

I think it's just a rumor but If somebody know something...

I think I read somewhere that there is talk of a GT350... similar to the GT500 but with a naturally-aspirated (not supercharged) 5.4L V8.

There's also talk of a new Boss, 302, Mach, you-name-it. Certainly keeps the interest level high. Right now the only certain upcoming new version is the GT500.

And remember what happened in '03? Both the n/a Mach and s/c Cobra were released. So it wouldn't surprise me if Ford released a GT350 (low $30K's) & GT500 ($39K) at the same time.

Personally, for daily-driver street use, I'd rather have a GT350.

The GT350 could certainly ruin the plans of alot of people.. Especially if it is priced in the $30K range.. Even if its like 375 to 400HP I'd prolly take it and save $10 or 12K.. Thats a dangerous game really.. If the GT350 looks like that pic, its going to make people throw up, cause it looks so sick!

"Sick" used in the above sentence means better than good or awsome..

That pic has been around forever, atleast since the production 05 came out. There will be another version of Mustang between the GT and Cobra. This body style screams Boss to me. The Ford Racing 5.0 4V with 430hp seems just about right for a Boss 302.

Yes, Ford definitely needs something between a Mustang GT and the GT500. The sooner the better.

Ya, that is just a photoshop of the the regular gt someone did
So as far as that being the gt350, the answer is no but its possible that there will be a gt350

Should we not forget about the upcoming California Special??? That information seems to say there wont be a GT350 made (at least next in line if ever).

Good link. I didn't know a Calif Special was that definite. Sounds like the GT500 look with standard Mustang GT mechanicals. Ought to be easy to produce in big numbers. I'm guessing there are plenty of people who would never use the GT500 performance, but want the look.

I say a Calif Special is a good thing... if even one person buys it instead of a GT500, that's one more available GT500.

Maybe there won't be enough GT500's for everyone who wants one. But if I'm going to buy a special-edition Mustang, I want better-than-GT performance.

My '68 is long gone.. and the GT still smells of that new car stink... BUt if a '08 Bullit really was ever produced
