New guy from the South Plains of Texas

As the title states, I am from the South Plains region of Texas, and as my username implies, I have a '97 V6. I stumbled across this site while refreshing my memory of 3.8L knowledge( back when I was 18 I had a '98 V6), liked what I saw and decided to stick around for awhile. I recently rescued my '97 for a song and prayer, just got it running last weekend after being extorted for getting a key made (original owners lost the keys, more on that later) and will soon be getting all the bugs worked out from it sitting for a year or better.

Gotta run for now, while at work I suppose I should be working lol

As of right now, I have gotten it running and legal. Prolly gonna be doing a trans swap soon if I can't get it shifting past second gear. It is an auto, for now, and I have plans in my head that I am kicking around, nothing concrete yet, but first and foremost is having it running like it is supposed to.
