NEW OWNER OF A 96 Cobra with a few code questions

Hey guys I just bought a 96 cobra and the check engine light came on already
anyhow i took it to the local part store for a diagnostic test. They came up with Air Intake Temp. sensor, EGR, and #7 cylinder misfire. Now according to the kid there he said to clean the first two and the last one just means it needs a new spark plug.

Not all sure what has been done to other then 2.75" off road hpipe, flowmaster, cold air intake and the other items listed on their webpage.

here's the site i bought it from http://www.blacksautomotive.com/NF_vehicleInventory.asp click the last page, it's the last car on there.

these guys have a very good reputation so I'm hoping they were not aware of the problems when they sold it to me. I will be calling them though to tell them. I'm still kinda pi$$ed about the situation.

what are the easiest and best mods to do? I'm not sure if it has stock gears or 3.73's.

One more question my friend has one exactly the same, his fog lights will work without turning on his headlight. Mine will only work with the headlights on. Anyone have a clue why? I would like mine to work without the headlight for like day time running lights.

Bare with me, i'm sure i will have more questions as time goes on, b/c I've only ever owned my 5.0 not a 4.6 DOHC

THANKS!

I'm not going to attempt to deal with the CEL problem, but here's the solution to your fog light question.

Fog light re-wire mod.

Yes. It's a switched power source.

ok so i have it apart now and have a problem. on the convertible switch (the brown one connected to nothing) it has 2 SOLID purple wires and one grey. No purple/orange. So which one do i cut? Ford must have ran out of purple/orange wire on mine!
